New puppy in the house.

On December 3 2005, a new puppy has joined our house. He is a 5 month old Italian Greyhound. He is blue-fawn and ways about 10 pounds. His name was Albert, but it will be Pharaoh now. He is a very nice puppy. His affection towards people is good. He has already bonded with us and with some of our friends. He has a few problems with housetraining, for example he had to go to the bathroom and held it until he went outside. Then he went number 2 and wanted to quickly get back to the warmth. Then 10 seconds after coming in, he went number 1. We were not mad though. It will just take some persistance to get him to understand that it is ok to go on the newspapers. He makes very cute grumbling noises when he is sleeping.

Farewell to a Good Friend.

Unfortunately on October 30th, my little friend Samson passed on to the other world. It was an unfortunate accident, but I feel good to know that while he was in our care, he had a good time. In the short time that we had him, he really started to open up. He started to play with toys, was more friendly with other people and dogs, and was well on his way to being housetrained. It is amasing how he was so quickly integrated in our lives, it seemed like we had been with him for years, not months. I have missed his quizzical looks, and his love of companionship. It was good to know that he looked so forward to seeing you after a day of work. There are some new pictures of him at http://www.soupergenius.com/gallery2/v/Pets/IG-Samson/ . We were really looking forward to him joining us on Halloween, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Hopefully someday there will be another addition to our family, but until then, I just wanted to honor his memory with some kind words.

I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me they are the role model for being alive. ~Gilda Radner
